  • Need a circuit board

Ok, really new to this idea so help me out here. I need a board like what is behind these LEDs:

Where can I find the such (any paticular (physical) stores?). And I know this is probably a really basic question, but how once I put some leds into holes in the board with the solder deally, how do I make an electrical connection to the next LED?

Search came up with nothing, and couldn't find specifics from google. Alls i need is the simplest of simple.

    merci beaucoup

look for some strip-board. it has rows of copper with holes in and you just cut the copper with a drill to break a run and branch from run to run with wire. its used to make prototypes and on-offs if you cant be bothered to etch a circuit. Or get some copper clad and etch your own boards.

For something like the LEDs above, it's probably easier to just drill holes in a sheet of plastic and run wires around rather than making your own circuit board.

That's sort of the point of a circuit board - it has traces on the board connecting the various components together.

I understand, but theses leds would be pretty close.

It may help if you state the purpose of the project.

It really won't. The connections now what I need to know, sans wiring. And just where I should get this stuff, preferably in english!

Depending on the voltage/amperage input of the power supply, the amount of LED's you plan on using, the voltage/amerage of the LED's, and if you plan on wiring in parallel or series, the way you would need to wire this would change. So, instead of insulting Llama, why don't you answer his question? Obviously you don't know much a bout electricity, so who are you to judge weather your purpose affects how it needs to be done?

I don't even know what that board is or what it is supposed to do. Are they supposed to just light up? Are they indicators? Do they need to be interfaced? Does it just scroll back and forth like in knightrider?

yeah, you tell people the answer to their problem and they just don't take any notice! Why do i bother? Should have just ignored the question in the 1st place - everyone knows about stripboard - if you don't then keep away from a soldering iron, you'll probably pick up the wrong end!
