  • LEDs for 3rd Brake Light

    Idea: Convert ugly third brakelight to LED while also reducing rattles.

    How: Remove third brakelight. Get LEDs. Run wires. Done. (That's the idea atleast)

    Parts: I used 10mm 5000mcd LEDs I got from Ebay.

    The 10mm 5000mcd LEDs are NOT bright enough unless they are looked directory on.
    Use 10000mcd s-flux LEDs.

    in the description you stated that you used 10 LED's, I only see 5 in the pic. How many did you end up with?

                  He had one acution for $12 with like $7 shipping and one for $15 shipped. You can figure out which one I got.

                  I think I'm going to be overvolting these LEDs a bit. Instead of giving them 2.2v, I'm probably going to be giving them 3v. Anyone want to advice agains this?

                            haha neither i'm making all lights in my interior blue

                            gauge backlights/HVAC... o wait its a Honda there aren't any other interior lights haha I will have plenty left over to do as i please with... considering status lights, maybe map lights who knows... I also will need something for my custom overhead console

                              Cool. But rembmer that not all the lights are in LED form. Some are in SMD form
