  • Cubid CB3688 - No Slim RAM ?

    Hi,

Is there space enough to have a standard RAM in this chase?
On pictures there seems to maybe be a problem with the RAM and DVD ?

Will use Epia 13000, slim slot dvd, slim hdd.

    Thanks
    Daniel

Well I have a 3677, which has the same insides as a 3688, and i am using regular ddr ram without any problems. I dont have a slim cd drive, or a slim hd, but i can put the tray where the cdrom&hdd drives go without any problems, using regular-sized ram

    El Volcho is in progress...
    Got almost everything

-Via EPIA M10000, Super 7'' Touchscreen, Morex Cubid 3677 Case, Fujitsu 40Gb, 512DDR RAM, Sony DVD-CDRW...

      Yes it uses standard ram. I'm using: Kingston 512MB DDR400 PC3200 KVR400X64C3A/512 $43.99 .

Straight from the spec for the Morex 3688 case:

        Memory Height Restricted to 1.250"

If it is any taller, it will interfere with the metal brace that holds your hard drive and optical drive over the mobo.

My brother bought that case and the the pins on the front USB hit the caps on the M1-ATX. I will have to desolder the connector and resolder it so the connector sticks straight up from the board.

It is easier than resoldering. Lookie here:
