I have one. Can't get the thing to work right. It's very sluggish. BTW, did you know they were designed to be used with the Packard Bells?

I use one on my home pc as well as in my car, and they both work superbly with Girder (girder.nl).

What software do you use with it? Ive used it on 98, 2k and XP with girder, and it seemed snappy on all the different installs. And how fast is the car pc? The slowest computer I've used it on is the c3 933 on my EPIA M.

just out of curiosity, why does everyone like these huge remotes?

when i was using a remote in my car, i tried to find the smallest possible w/the most functionality... i just ended up w/one of those crappy credit card ones that did the trick.

Is the processing priority set abnormally high on winamp? And I had problems with winamp+wlirc? on win98, but can't remember having any problems with girder (dosent mean i didnt have any ). And I use the remote that came with it for precisely that reason, it came with it I didnt have to hunt down another remote that would work. And its really not that bad, I have mine set between the hand brake and the plastic surround around it, which works quite well. And my only qualm with tiny remotes is that it can be hard for figure out which button is which without looking at it, with the pb remote, I know which is which for the major functions.

Girder works by itself, it just takes a bunch of configuration (did that answer the question?)
