  • Rearview with typical USB camera

    You can use typical USB cam as Car PC rearview camera with CarPC JoyCon EX.
    Any USB camera or video capture device can be rearview camera.



    JoyCon Explorer 100317 supports this function.

    its cool and all, but you'll have to wait until the pc start before u can use it.

      It is the nature of carputor. But when we park, caputor is usually already running.

        A lot of the touch screens now a days, has a 2nd video input. When signal is received it automatically changes over to this video feed. This will eliminate the need to wait for the computer to boot up.

          you're missing the whole point. it's to use USB cameras instead of having to buy a standard one that utilizes component hookups.

            Your post seems to indicate that there is a problem with having a reversing camera connected directly to the screen. There is nothing wrong with having a direct connection. It eliminates the need for the PC to control the switching of screens from front end to the reverse camera view. In fact, many people start their cars and reverse out of a driveway or garage, and having a direct connection will enable them to see the reverse view almost immediately. Using a JoyCon or similar would only show the reverse view once the PC is up and running, requiring the user to wait a little while. For some, this wait is not a problem, but for others it is.
