I've seen these a while ago at RadioShack even. What would you place it on when you are going to use it? If it just on your legs it will bend down in the middle and the sides.

yeah, I have the smaller version of it and it's kind of a pain in the ***... it's nice because it's small and it's flexible, but it sucks because... it's small and it's flexible. Here's the one I have.

The dash is kind of far away and wouldn't be good for me to use for a base. I guess you could set something under it so it would lay flat, but you would need to store that some where also.

I ordered a Zippy EL-610 keyboard, I'll see how well it works. I didn't even look at the size of the keyboard to see where I will keep it. If it is small enough to fit in the glove box, I will put it there. If not, under the passenger seat, or right behind it. If not, trunk.

I find myself needing to Ctr-Alt-Del to shut down Media Car when it's stuck in one of it's error loops, so putting it in the glovebox is out of the question for me. I'm dreaming of a mini desk arm like we had in grade school that could fold down and then, when needed, come up and flop over and be swivelable, if that's a word.

i have the thing and it's decent. don't even bother to try to touchtype on it. finger punching only. one gripe is those 3 buttons on it. sleep, power, wakeup. i especially have problems cause sometimes i'll just toss the thing in the back seat and if i hit a bump, it presses the power button and shuts down my machine!. major PITA.
