  • Touchscreen drivers not resuming from standby

After I re-installed my system with another SP-13000 motherboard, and a new hard drive (XP Pro, SP2), I installed both Win XP drivers off the Egalax site for my 8" Lilliput TS. both of them exhibit the same behavior, the work fine after a restart, but stop working after resuming from standby. The TS worked fine in my old setup. The only differences as far as the TS goes between installs, is I am now using a un-powered USB hub for all my devices in the front of the car (TS, Powermate, GPS antenna) Could this cause the problem? I've removed/re-installed both drivers with no change.

I messed with it today, and I can remove/reinstall the usb cable after resume then it will start working again, but sometimes that screws up my powermate.

Any ideas anyone? I guess my next move will be to use a powered USB hub.

I'm guessing it could be the problem to your setup...

btw, what do you mean by screwing up your powermate?

Yesterday, as I plugged/unplugged the hub from the motherboard to get the touchscreen to work, the powermate quit working too. I went into device manager, and the powermate driver dissapeared. I had to re-install the driver to get it working again.

Try to put all USB 1.1 device together. Do not MIX 1.1 and 2.0.
Why not put the powermate on another port from the mobo or different hub?

I thought all of those devices (Powermate, Bu-353, and TS) were USB 1.1. I am running them all off the same hub so I don't have to run another USB wire.

I don't think the Powermate is 1.1, nor the TS. The GPS is I think 1.1...

i noticed my TS drivers (and gps) dont work coming out of standby when i go into standby with GPS open... my gps and ts are both usb so I think perhaps there may be some relation.

I had a similar issue and a powered hub fixed my problem. It's $20 fix from walmart.

Try going to touchkit.com and downloading the drivers there. I used them with two different touchscreens from different manufacturers, and they worked with both. They are very robust, and work after hibernation and resume.

                            yeah...

                            are you using RR?

and if you are... are you sure its not just resuming from hibernation with right clicking enabled?if you are using RR, try connecting a mouse and then right click before doing anything, then try using it...

it could be a driver issue... thats what happend to me
