  • IR receivers?

How many us the IR receivers? If you do which ones do you use? I want to add an IR receiver to my car but I do not want a big bulky box laying on my dashboard. I just want an IR receiver that is small enought where I can drill a tiny hole on my dash bezel and have the IR bulb fit in there? Is there anything like that? Do any come in USB?

There are quite a few small USB ones available usually the IR part is the width and height off a flash stick and the length is what varies most for the ones I have seen. Usually they look just like a flash stick. If you get a cheap laptop remote, like the ones that store in the PCMCIA slot, usually they come with pretty snazzy IR receivers.

Search the forum for "cheap ir receiver" aka LIRC, WinLIRC, iGor Gesko or any of those term. If you can't find a diagram, try google.
