  • Volume issue

I am having problems with my laptop install. As soon as I reboot the pc, RR automatically loads. When I press either the +/- volume buttons, the sound goes to zero. I have to keep pressing the + button even after the display on RR shows 100%. Then I get feedback, from my laptops built in Mic I think. I have a ground loop isolator, so its not that. Any thoughts?

I went into the advanced volume controls and muted the mic. It works until I reboot my pc. Is there a way to keep it permanently muted? Is there a way to keep the pc's volume at full volume even after I reboot? If I could do that, I would only have to worry about the RR volume and not the pc's volume too.

One thought I had was to find a plug that will fit into my external mic port on my laptop. I think that would stop the feedback at least??

it sounds like your laptop is not committing your desktop settings to your windows user profile. I would do a safe mode, pump up your volume, then restart regular so RR loads.

I tried the safemode. It didn't work. I had other issues with tiny xp so I dumped it and installed xp pro. Got everything working well now. thanks.
