  • how to power laptop and charge battery with carnetix

I recently installed a carnetix p-2140 PSU and connected it to my HP nc2400's AC adapter. As mentioned in previous threads on powering laptops using the carnetix PSU some laptop AC adapter have three wires when I test the three wires with a multimeter I have a ground, a +5, and a +19. I am able to utilize the p-2140 to successfully power my laptop(+20 on primary out for the docking station), and External 600GB Hard drive(+12 on the secondary out). I there any utilizing a carnetix to power a laptop as well as charge its battery?

What is the required input voltage for the docking station? Check the output voltage on the power brick for the dock.

What type of dock are you using? Got a link?
