Still working on preliminary system design for a tablet.

I'm thinking of mounting a Clarion EQS746 in the glove box, and using this inline (tablet -> LC1 -> EQ -> amps), to control volume for the whole system. My dash really doesn't have room for the EQ itself. BUT, i have plenty of room to mount one of these (or even custom mount it in to the dash somewhere).

What are your thoughts on using this to control volume? Typically it's used for Gain, but if it goes before the EQ, I shouldn't have issue using for volume right?

nope. the only issue i have with knobs like that is that you need to loop the audio path through it. that is a PITA when everything is in the trunk, though with a tablet install, everything is up front anyways.. still a little inconvenient to loop the audio wire through certain parts of the dash, but worthwhile for the price compared to the price of alternatives like the cl-rlc.

OK great. I'll order it then. This will allow me to hide my eq in the glove box.
