yeah i know the screen wont be bigger...but im really close on fitting. when i cut the bezel, can i eliminate the buttons? that would give me a perfect amount of room if i can get rid of that much. Thanks!

plus like 1/8" on all side for the lcd's casing (not screens casing but the metal/plastic around actual visible lcd) and the edge of the screen with no picture.

          You didnt search at all...

Yes the buttons can go away. YOull just need to either relocate the button panel, or take it off completely and use the auto-on hack, but no buttons means no hardware screen adjustments

i did my research but when i made the computer i was going to get a new car. But i kept mine and tryed the best i could to do it. I think i will be able to. So you say the motherboard only extends like a 1/8" out from screen itself? and are the buttons on like a ribbon cable or actually wires?

No what I said was the actual screen that you need to squeeze in wherever is going to be about 3mm on every side bigger than what you see now unopened.

The motherboard is like sonic said. Mine was a hong kong version and was pretty much to the walls of the casing. Everything is all ribbon. The ZIF ribbon stuff. Except for the short backlight inverter wires, those are heavy guage wires.

If you put the bare lcd panel on an ISO double DIN, you should have about 1/2" on both side and 1/8 or 3/16" on top and bottom. That is the measurement base on the 2K Accord double DIN. I'll try to post some pic later so you can get better idea

Would you happen to have a picture of one cracked open? That would help a lot. Thanks
