  • Wire Xenarc to radio 12 v ?

Hi Guys, I almost have my puter ready for implementation, i just have one question,
can i use the 12 v and GND from the radio ( BMW E46) to power the Xenarc ?

Many thanks for all reply's !

You could, but I don't know how "clean" that source is and it's effect on screen longevity.

Recommend you read up on powering up your screen off your carPC's PSU.

Well the Xenarc actually has internal voltage regulation while the Lilliputs do not.

And the screen doesnt draw that much, so stock wiring for only the screen is fine. If you have a lilliput though, you need a source of clean +12v, which then Sal is correct, get it from the PSU.

Yes its only for the xenarc..is it wise to connect it to the constant 12 v or the IGN 12 volt ?

The IGN is only a trigger wire. Not meant to handle any current whatsoever. Constant +12v, and if you want you can use a relay triggered off of the IGN, but the Xenarcs have an auto-on feature, so it shouldnt matter.
