  • SKS Cable Extension for Lilliput Monitor

I just got a new transflective Lilliput Monitor (it doesnt seem to have a model number!). On the side of it, there is the breakout connector for RCA, Power, DIN for VGA, etc. The connector is some sort of D Shell 14 PIN "SKS" Connector.

I was wondering if anyone found a way to get an extension cable for this connector. The cable that came with the Lilliput is only about 4 inches long. Since I am doing a window mount install for the monitor, I dont want all the connectors on the dashboard... If there was an SKS to SKS extension cable, I could hide the connectors in the floor or in the trunk.

Let me know if anyone has done this. Best regards, Kevin

I am also curious if there is a cable that exists. I would much rather buy one than make one. Thanks.

I found the type of connector, it's a Centronics 14. This site sells both the female and the male.

It would be nice to find a site that sells an extension cable...

just so everyone knows. i followed the above link and ordered 2 male centronics 14 and 2 female. i recieved them today and went ahead and compared them to the lilliput before i started soldering my new cables together only to find that they have the right number of contacts but are overall too big to interface properly with the sks connector. so the search goes on, and if i find the appropriate i will post it here.

Has anyone located the Centronics extension yet?

Bump - anyone find one? Extending the individual RCA's is not really an option.

Anyone? Are the rca's just as good of a signal? And how could you hook that up to a car pc?

                i have the same problem

i didnt think it would be a big deal, and technically its not- but i have everything looking nice now (will update soon, this is old pic) and this dongle mess is really sticking out and making the install look cheap.

im ready to actually cut mine in half and solder up every single wire for about 14" in length.... i just worry a little because its my only cable.

i did email lilliput about this, three weeks ago. no reply at all.
