  • LCD / TFT Displays and their controllers??

    Hi All,

I am new to this forum and the mobile / embedded world too. I found a lot of people discussing LCDs here. So joined it.

We are working on an embedded system which requires a large size LCD (approx 10.4") and a high resolution (1024x768). We want to interface it with an ARM processor. So we are looking for a LCD and a appropriate display controller which would drive the LCD from the frame buffer.

I could not find display controllers for "Embedded systems" (rather found a lot for PCs) which could be used for such high resolutions on the internet. Does anybody know combinations of LCDs/TFTs and appropriate display controllers for the size and resolution mentioned above?

Or any help to find these will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Midhun.

As long as you can find timing diagrams for LCD and it is digital RGB, you can write some Verilog/VHDL and have an FPGA drive the display off a framebuffer.
