I am glad you guys like the monitor and thank you for the kind words.

I am working on getting a touch screen overlay + controller for these monitors so hopefully I will have some good news next week . I am still waiting on the samples of the touch kit from the manufacturer.

      Controller? VGA?

An in-dash Xenarc-clone would really make people here wet their pants.
      SOON THERE.

I'm pretty sure he meant the touch screen controller (touchscreen overlay + controller)

                A little off topic ...

I recently found out that the new beta release from Nvidia support some really awsome tvout overscan tweaking. The new driver combined with their integrated NV17 Tv-chip (the GF4 MX420 PCI) has it, makes it possible to fit the tv out perfectly onto a TV / LCD ..

looking forward to try this baby on my future LCD

                Best regards

The monitor has RCA inputs (NTSC/PAL). It really is that good of a picture I was surprised myself.

Let me answer for watton: (Te fâche pas Watton...)

The mainboard was a VIA C3 mini-itx with the video composite output.

This picture is strech a litttle bit but you can change the aspect ratio for the dvd/divx with some player so the result will be perfect.

I was thinking that the quality of the display will be not enough to use GPS program but if you look the picture with windows running. (it's ok)

Yes you can tweak some video output.
(it's come from the TV chip used on the graphics card)

More info & try TVTool 6.8:

No the TV out (RCA) was from my Multitainer (a DVD/DivX box for home), and the quality on the TFT maybe better than on my Sony 16/9 TV

For the price I dont think that we can find better.

Is there a little latching mechanism that locks the screen out and fully extended to stop the screen retracting at all? This is something that I find really useful on the DSCustoms screen.

Armen - any black bodied monitors yet?
