  • Lokking for a screen between 10.3" and 10.6"

Sorry for bad english, I'm for Norway.

I have a perfect space for a screen in my car that measures 228x112mm.

This is a size that is "17:9" or something, so I know I can't have that. However there is enough space inside the frame to use a screen that is bigger, if I can live without seeing the whole screen.

If I'm gonna use a 16:9 screen it have to be at least 10.3" (228x127mm), but I think it would be better to have a screen that is a little bit bigger than my frame all the way, so a 10.5", 10.6" or something would be perfect. However I can't find any screens for a normal price in those sizes.

I have also looked at notebooks (netbooks?), but most of them are 9" and the biggest are 10.2". It don't mind to brake one of those to get what I want, as long as it's possible to extend the screen wire.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a screen? It doesn't need to have a touch function as long as I can add an overlay touchmat or something.

Another question, is there software that could "make" a 10.3" picture on a 10.6" screen? Just leave the fields around blank.

Edit: could someone change to topic from "lokking" to "looking"? It went a little fast when I was typing.

I have tought about that, but a 10" screen is 10mm shorter than my frame, that would make 5mm on each side, and will not look that good.

Edit: I need to learn to read everything in a post. Maybe I could live with loosing 1 mm on each side.

Maybe I can modify the frame somehow or something, I'll look in to it.

you could mold the pcs screen and frame in the bezel that would be the best looking way I think
