  • Wiring up headrest screens - best schematic?

I have 2 headrests screens I'd like to hook into my carpc.

I've bought a video card with S-video, DVI, and VGA outputs in it. The main screen is powered by the VGA.

The monitors each have a RCA Video input on them for the video signal.

I'm wondering what is the best way to get the video from the pc to both of the headrest screens with the least amount of signal altering and degradation.

Should I go the s-video route: split that, and then go from s-video to rca x2 ?
I think DVI is a more power signal so should I go that route? [I dont know if it really is I'm just guessing]

Ideally, I'd like to go DVI, split into 2 RCA's but I cant find such a specific conversion adapter.

Can someone help me out please? I'm pretty stuck at this point.

2 X S-video to RCA is going to be the simplest and least expensive option.

Be prepared for sub-par image quality on the SVideo/RCA output, though.
It's probably not an issue for watching a video or using a front-end, but text will likely be blurry.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
