  • How do i power my lilliput EBY-701

    Hello,

    Thanks,

Yes, you can connect your monitor to the M4-ATX Molex, the yellow wire is +12 volts and the black wire is the negative, so when you turn on the M4-ATX also lights up the screen ... sorry for my bad English

should i be using the filter that came with the lilliput cigarate lighter or i should just connect it direct to the M4-ATX

It's not important but if you use it with the filter is better for reduce some noise ....

The center pin of the cigarette lighter is the positive and the outer collar is the negative.

A multimeter is an invaluable tool when working on electronics (especially when solving problems like polarity etc). I'd pick an inexpensive one up at radio shack or somewhere like that.

I just ripped my dash apart and it is going to be too hard to use the cigarette lighter for power for my lilliput. I was thinking about powering off the pre-existing plug for my stock head unit. I used a multi meter and get a 12.34V out of it. I was wondering if this was a good or bad idea to just solder the lilliput wires to the stock radio power lines.

The 12.34V was in accessory mode. When I turned the car over it went up to 14.32V, which the cigarette lighter did as well. Is it safe to assume it is a good place to get power from? I do have the filter that mp3car sends with the monitor

that is how i am powering my monitor--just make sure you use the 'egg' to filter the power a little.
