  • power on lcd

    Hi guys.
I just did an install in a Astra Coupe turbo.
The atom pc and the 8" screen(touchaustralia off ebay) was powered by an invertor.

Now i switched to a M2 atx psu.
Problem is, how do i auto power on my screen?

The screen is VGA with usb for the touch input.
Screen has no name, just TFT VGA on it.
Tried to contact the seller for the make but he left ebay.

Need to know the voltage the touchscreen requires.

If the screen requires 12vDC, you have two options:
1 - Power the screen directly from the car's electrical system. If the screen requires regulated power, this could pose a risk of damaging the internals.
2 - Power the screen from a HDD power connector off the M2. Yellow is 12v. Black is ground.

If it requires some other voltage, you're going to need to get creative.

This is a circumstance where proper planning would have prevented problems.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
      How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
