  • Lilliput 629gl Windows 7 Drivers

    Good Afternoon,
My lilliput 629gl was working fine, and then my windows 7 install got corrupt. I figured while the weather is crappy, I would take out the PC, reformat and get things back to normal. Well everything is working, except for the touchscreen drivers. At this point, I have to operate the carPC with a remote.

When I initially plugged in the lilliput, windows found and installed the USB Touchscreen control drivers.
I've tried the touchkit drivers, which states that it cant even find a touchscreen device.
I've tried the egalax drivers which upon calibrating, I notice that the touchscreen doesn't work at all(I'm not sure if the software has even found the lilliput).

Obviously up to this point, I can't register any clicks with the touchscreen at all.

Any help? Thanks a million in advance!!!

I can't wait to get this thing back to normal.
Over a year later I guess it's true...a carPC is NEVER complete

try to uninstall the drivers that windows found and installed, clean the hdd and registry with a program like ccleaner, then install the touchkit drivers first, and not let windows install it's own set of drivers.

      Thanks for the reply soundman.

After taking a breather, I went back outside and tried everything again. I noticed that the touchscreen seemed to be changing things inside of centrafuse. Either way, I uninstalled everything, including the windows drivers. I then went ahead and reinstalled Touchkit and tried the touchscreen again. It was no better, but again, I noticed things happening. It seems that my touch/clicks are flipped to the opposite side of the screen. I opened touchkit and didn't notice anything for calibration, or to fix a flipping issue. Any ideas on this? For instance in centrafuse, if i touch bottom right, I see the cursor on bottom left, etc.

Thanks again for the reply, and for any other responses!

        Your using windows 7 right?

Click the start menu, key in Calibrate, and chose calibrate monitor for touch or pen input. Chose the reset calibration option, and then click calibrate. This should run you through the 8 point windows screen calibration.

If this does not work, try using a different / shorter USB cable. I had a problem recently where the screen no matter where I touched, would only register the touch in 1 spot. It was caused by usb signal loss.

        Just some thoughts.

Yes I'm sorry, you are correct. Windows 7 64 bit to be exact. Thanks for the reply btw. I will definitely give that a shot. Unfortunately, I can't make the cable any smaller as I am using the stock lilliput cord which is connected directly to the PC's usb port.

Alright. you shouldn't be suffering from signal loss then. Cause your way under 16ft.

I gave the calibration a shot from within windows. I was able to press each mark with no problem. However, my problem stands. I do have a better way to describe the issue. It seems as if the "x" and "y" coordinates have been swapped. If I move my finger left and right(while touching the screen), the cursor will move up and down. If I move my finger up and down, the cursor moves left and right.

Thanks for the help, hopefully we can get this solved soon! Then I have to fix the gps...lol

Is there any app to swap a windows 7 touchscreen calibration? The egalax drivers that Lilliput's support directed me towards causes the touchscreen not to work at all.

                    Hi
Had the same issues with my screen(a lilliput clone) before using a beta set of drivers(win xp) http://www.touchkit.com/drivers.htm
Anyway keep recalibrating with a very steady hand after about the 3rd or 4th attempt it should start behaving itself. You could also try the beta driver in the above link pretty sure it works under win7
