  • Not happy with the composite video

WOW. I didn't think it was going to be this bad. Watching movies and using winamp 3 with the size doubled, it's not bad at all. But to load up new MP3s using folders or to navigate through the desktop, it's impossible.

It's an Alpine 6.5" widescreen I got for $500 from Crutchfield. They said I can return it within 30 days and that's just what I'm going to do. I like it because it's an in dash monitor and automatically folds up and hides away when I'm not in the vehicle.

I've been doing some searching, which I should've done before I bought the Alpine, and it looks like earthlcd's smallest TFT monitor is 9.5" I'm not sure I want a monitor in my dash that large. I've seen others fabricate huge monitors in there but maybe I'm just not at that stage yet

Has anyone have experience with this monitor or this company?

    Thanks for any help.

          Thanks for any help.

From everything that I've seen, dave is a good person to buy from, and offers exclusive discounts to mp3car members.

I will probably be buying a screen from him soon

Thanks for the replies. I chose the touchscreen from DScustoms. It will be here Friday. Woohoooo. Now I'm just waiting for the Opus 150w PSU.
