Go to the search page. Enter the following into the search panel:

      psone AND lcd

Hit the "Search Now" button. A lot of hits will come up showing you how to connect a VGA port to a psone lcd.

It doesn't matter that you don't have an AGP port on your board if you're trying to plug in a PCI tv out card - they need a PCI slot...!

Those things a great, and would probably be an ideal solution, but i reckon the price is too steep. If i was going to buy anything that gets me an actual TV-Out port, i would buy an PCI Video Card with TV-Out. That way, i score a half decent video card that would greatly increase the systems current score of 1.5 in 3DMark 2000 . Such an example of this would be a PCI model of the GeForce 4 MX440 . Also, the low profile of that particular card would help me make the case smaller.

Or i could just Wire my PS screen straight to VGA, but i cant be bothered scewing around with smal wires and compact soldering.

IT isnt of anysort of referance but my mobo is the Jetway 920BF

I have been using one of those adapter type things for about 1 1/2 years now. and it does the job quite nicely.

HOWever, if you are using a tft (NON VGA) screen then you dont really notice much degredation on the small text, because it looks terrible anyway.... livable but nothing like a vga screen. the only *** ache with the one I had was that it just looked messy with extra wires hanging around.

Its a cheap alternative to a VGA screen >>>> but not as cheap as just getting yourself a 32mb Pci Graphics card off Ebay for 20 (but then you have to get a dummy VGA adapter for it to work independantly)

IMHO by the time you have fannied around bought an adapter, sorted it out etc you will have wished you had Bought a mini ITX with built in phono out, and a quick 800mhz C3 cpu...... wish i had just done that... is a lot simpler! and cheaper... and smaller! in the long run!

mm, thanks jakeep. I already have the cpu and ram and am buying the mobo tomorow for $39 australian, compared to 300 for a new Nehemiah. My PS One screen is very readable running off a composite signal. I have it going at 640x480 with 150% font size. And besides, it will mainly be used for watching dvd and playing mp3's. The screen looks great watching DVD, its only when you look closley that you notice the pixels and the lower quality. I found a Radeon 9000 PCI with tv out for $52 US, so that might be worth a look. In the end, i'll probably just wire up my LCD to run directly of VGA.
