  • Motorized In dash 7" TFT. This thing rocks!!!

    This: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38650

    Just arrived yesterday.

All I can say is WOW. Simple yet absolutely beautifull!!! Fully motorized with tilt adjust on the unit and on the remote. 7" TFT with 4 display modes (4:3, 16:9 16:9 streached and some other one I cant describe)

The Brightness and clarity of the display is AWESOMME!!!! I cant say enough nice things about it. It has 2 RCA inputs and power and ground. Thats it. I will post pics once I am done with the installation.

And for $299.99 you cant beat it. I bought it and had it in 7days from HongKong to West Virginia.

I hooked up my laptop to it via RCA running 848x480 and it looks PERFECT!!!

Just wanted to post this for all those thinking about that Lilliput screen everyone is having so many problems with. This thing is fully motorized, (slide out and flip up) Has an awesomme Panasonic display and is not very expensive.

Correct. But if you ask alot of people, You dont always need VGA. If you use something like Mediaengine, and large fonts on your GPS apps. Why would you realy need VGA at all?

Too many people are hung up on the whole I NEED VGA craze, I know many many people using RCA and they are quite happy with it.

I looked at the auction and it states:
        "

        NO REFUND!!NO EXCEPTIONS!!

We are absolutely not responsible for loss or damage of uninsured packages,as well as any TAX/DUTY required by your custom!

Email me if any custom declearation required!
        "

I am just wondering, did you have any issues with customs or anything?

And, how much was the total including INSURED shipping to west virginia?

        Thanks.

I was looking into this buy too, but wasn't sure on the whole shipping from china thing, not due to trust, but mainly because if I have a problem I am responsible for return shipping it to china which then could be quite expensive indeed.

Also, does the box or manual state any other specs as to view angle or nits? Please post as I am close to getting an indash composite screen. And yes I'm happy with my existing composite indash. I agree with Spec-V as to not needing a VGA, although they are very nice, just too much for my wallet.

Well, the entire manual is in Chinese. The guy that sent it speaks/writes english quite well. And added a hand written note to the instruction book on what wires go where.

My total was $351.00 (299.99 , 40.00 Express Mail shipping, 11.00 Insurance.) It came from my regular Mail Man with both a HongKong label and a USPS Express Mail label.

The seller also let me know the day it shipped and included the tracking info. Then checked back to ensure that I got it in good shape. Look at his feedback. It speaks for itself.

As to nits, and viewing angle. It is extremely bright. No specs are in english that I can tell with the exception to: "TFT" and 7". Viewing angle up and down is very wide, I havent noticed any problems with side to side at all.

Once I get everything installed this weekend, I will take all kinds of pics so you can see the beauty of this screen.

Believe it or not, This thing has a better picture than my $1200 Dollar Clarion VRX935DV when playing a DVD.

No on the touch screen. I use a RF enabled remote. (Remote Wonder)

Anyway... I dont want to try taking apart this baby and screwing something up. If it wasnt motorized...Id bee all over it.. but I just spent 350 $$$ on it and I want to get some use out of it before I go messing with the internals.

I wonder too. I would love to have mine in-dash motorized.
Could someone send the dimmensions of the screen that is in the in-dash case, so we can compare? Pictures of the back of the screen would also be nice, so we can see how it is mounted.

If anyone wants to send me their Lilliput screen, I will see if it fits in the housing. It uses an OEM Panasonic display, I thought that was the same as the lilliputs.
