I too have ordered the indash VGA screen for $530, I have since tryed to call him, no answer and have sent 2 emails, asking if my order is going to be along time, then to cancel and send a indash kit so I can convert my lilliput. I havent had a answer to these either. I'm not worried about my money, as from the replys from him in these forums he seems a decent bloke.. just wish he would responed to my mail, either confirming a date, or shipping a empty indash for my lilliput and refunding the rest of my money back to my card.. fingers x'd O and my order number is 00001167 just incase you read this :-)
yeah, but that doesnt help me really.. All I want to know his how long and can I cancel the order and get a indash housing for my lilliput if its going to be more than another week. Not a question I would of thought was too much to answer. I know that his customers would be alot more understanding if they were just kept informed... even a status section on his site would do saying which number orders have / havent been done..
ok, i've had a reply from armen (digitalww) he confirmed that he doesnt have the components in to complete my indash VGA screen and wont have them till the end of the week, I have decided to cancel this order and go for a indash housing for my lilliput 7inch I have, I'm quite good at soldering so dont think it would be a problem for me to convert. I'm all for armen providing the service he does and I think he provides components which are benefical to all carputer users. I myself am self employed and know how hard it is sometimes to juggle all them balls at once. If I can help armen in anyway I will, I live in the uk and could maybe help with shipping building etc.. let me know if you need a hand.
I have no problem with shipping, order the indash housing, got it in 3 day time.
I did the lilliput lcd convert but give up, I am good at soldering but I guess I am not too good. If you follow spyhunter write up then it is ok, but if you follow the website write up where you have to desolder the usb and power and solder a new wire to it, forget about it. It is almost impossible unless you have a small tip solder iron.
when I say i'm quite good at soldering.. well I have chipped about 100 ps2's so fingers crossed they wont be that hard to do.. I have had a quick look on the site at the pictures and think I could added to them, making a cleaner install.. I will take pic's of mine from start to finish, and hope it will help others too.. The more peeps that do it and share there information the better the next one will be :-)
