  • Trouble Installing Lilli Drivers

When ever I try to install the Lilliput drivers I get an error saying that something in the INF was invalid. It appers to only be the USBTouchScreen.inf (Or whatever, I dont remember the exact file name). Anyone had this problem before? How do you fix it?

Yes, I was using the touchkit drivers. I am downloading the new version. Maybe this will help.

its all good now, found another thread stating that they thought you have to run the setup program first, then install the drivers, and presto, all good for me now.... just gota tweak the touch settings now...

I am also having treouble with the Lilliput drivers. Every time I run Setup on my laptop running XP it crashes. It gives me a progress bar that goes to 100% but then nothing happens. Sometimes, like now, I can go on using other windows. Other times, I have to hard reset.
            Installed:
Lilliput 7" w/ TS * Kenwood head unit interface
            Deluo GPS * BR3 OBD-II * P-1900

            Removable/Exchangable:
Mac mini * Dell Latitude 600m

well, slightly more detail on how i fixed the prob on mine, have to make sure when you run the setup program before installing the driver, the touch controller is DISCONNECTED (for me this was the usb), then you connect the touch controller and it should be good.

I installed the drivers on my desktop (Win2000) before I plugged in the monitor and it worked fine. However I still can't install the drivers on my laptop. I get a "Windows XP Logo testing hasn't been completed..." message.

Yeah, then it crashes. After it crashes I can open the utility and search for a device but then the program says it encountered an error and closes.

Also, when I "Add" a screen it finds one on COM3 even though the screen isn't plugged in.

Yeh. I had all the same problems and now I got things working. I think the COM3 issue has to do with the touchpad on the laptop. I tried disabling the driver but my touchscreen (just got it tonight) still wouldn't work with the drivers I received in the box. I'm using winxp. So I selected a restore point from yesterday just to get myself back to a sain config. So here's what I did in order after restoring:
                        1. downloaded the latest drivers from http://www.egalax.com.tw/support-drivers.htm
                        2. extracted new download and ran setup.exe
                        3. left all defaults. No checkboxes selected
                        4. selected "continue anyway" for non Windows logo testing prompt
                        5. note: this time, setup didn't find COM3 and setup finished
                        6. Plugged the lilliput usb into laptop
                        7. found new hardware wizard started. I told it not to do things automatically so that I could choose the driver to install
                        8. selected "have disk" and browsed to the same directory as setup.exe was in and selected touchkit.inf
                        9. Once complete, I saw "Found new hardware ....Install complete"
                        10. yes yes yes yes
                        11. ran the newly installed touchkit configure util and saw an entry in the controller list
                        12. selected calibration
                        13. everything works.

Hope your problem is solved the same way.
