  • centurion screen blurry + weird signal problem

ok, i have a centurion 7in widescreen. i use my epia 800s onboard to-out to supply it's rca input. it's not touchscreen or vga or anything. i cant remember the model number right now but i dont think it matters anyway.

the problem is that i have to turn it on immediately after turning the pc on or the screen wont get a signal, i have to catch it at the start of the POST. Anyone know how i can boost the RCA signal? or even better - get it auto-on?

the other problem is that when it does finally turn on the text is blurry. media-engine is OK because it has really big fonts but anything in windows is virtually unreadable. does everyone increase their font size or is my screen just poor quality? im running the carpc at 800x600 because not even powerstrip can get me down to the native res.

yeah, it's still pretty poor even on the tv. is there anything i can do about it to improve it? i have read that epia tv-out is supposed to be good quality! or maybe i can turn my centurion into a vga? (haha yeah i know thats a long shot)

maybe... you'd have to know what kind of LCD panel is in there and then go and find a proper controller for it. It will be probably be cheaper (and easier) to but a new VGA screen.
