  • TView Auto Power On

Has anyone been able to get the TVIew monitor to auto power on? I seached the threads, but the auto power on is geared towards the lillis and xenarcs.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

You can always do the relay-resistor-capacitor method aka constant-to-pulse output.
Look at the sticky thread the Hardware dev forum for how to wire a constant to pulse relay.

            Okay,
This one from the12volt dot com.

Switch = of course your car ACC/IGN 12V switch signal.
fulse 12+ (78) and momentary 12+ out (30) should be connect to 2 pins of the power button.

Standard Bosche (sp) type automobile relay.
You CAN'T put this relay inside any LCD monitor.
To do this mod, you have to run 2 wires from the power button to outside the case where you put the relay.
Yes, that a circuit that will "Push" the power button for you.

that is a diode, a 1n4001 diode should work fine. that protects the lcd from a voltage spike that occurs when the relay de-energizes.

does this puls go right away.. or does it wait a few seconds.. I've found it needs to wait a few seconds for the screen to be able to be turned on..

ive just had a idea. Im going to be using the M1-ATX psu and it has a additional power on so im gona wire that to the switch and it should power it on when the computer comes on. but if thats works you could use it with any strt up/ shutdown controller that sends a pulse to the mobo. ill update this in a day or two when i get the M1-ATX.

Is that Diode built into the bosch relay? Can I use a regular automotive relay from Autozone for this?

And because I'm a noob at actual electronic components, what would it look like on the package at Radio Shack? The titles of the resistor, cap and diode? I love to solder, but this will be my first time working with resistors and such.

                            Thanx guys.

i have made the same thing like webdog (rellay, condestaor, resistor + m1-atx anti-thumb)... works great, but in case, when to the J2 pins is connected 'remote turn on' radio / amp .. it doesn work.

i have mm400 from cartft.com same like lintx and tview I thing
