  • lilliput auto-on mod and changing brightness

I have a lilliput lcd screen with the coyote auto-on mod. I don't think the brightness was turned up all the way before the mod. Is there a way to change the brightness? I tried plugging in the ribbon cable and the circuit board w/ the buttons. the LEDs lit, but the buttons didn't do anything except the source button reset the screen. How can i get in the menu to see if its on the brightest setting?

    thanks!!

Use the remote. Hit menu-menu-up-menu. Like I haven't done that before.

Good idea. But i tried it and had no luck. I believe this is the mod where it puts +5v to the power switch so no buttons work. Can i do anything but undo the mod? i don't want to!

The 5v is only momentary. The buttons should still work, so there's something else wrong. When you put the ribbon cable back into button board, slide it away from the IR receiver before you lock it in. That's the #1 problem we usually have with it. It gets a little off.

can this mod be applied to the power-on switch of a mobo?

Is one side of the button 5v? I was wondering this myself. I just used a little relay since I didn't have anything near 5v in the shutdown controller.
