I have one of those, powered from the PSU. It won't turn on automaticly, but it will turn off.

I have atview and they look nearly exact.. except for the difference is the IR port and Power button are opposite of mine..

but the wording on the top and case are exact..

I thought there was a lilliput mod that I assume would work..

all it is I believe is a circut that that makes a pulse to the switch .. however I've noticed with my screen.. is the pusle needs about a 3 second delay .. so a 555 timer may be needed.. Any EE folks care to expound.. I'm but a lowly solder monkey .. ..

I've also thought of using the pulse for the power on the MB ..

Nothing happens, a light flashes up, and go off again, but the screen won't turn on.
The powerbutton is also the input selector for vga, av1 and av2. You have to press it for about 2 secs to turn off, and if pressed once it changes the input.

I don't think you coeld mod this to autopower on. Maybe by using girder on the remote..?

There was a circuit diagram the other day on here that took the pulse from a Carnetix to switch on the screen using a relay, will see if I can find the link and post here.

I've seen that thread before, I was asking for a simple mod - ie: one that would fit inside the current case !

yeah yeah! noob mistake - admit it!

What about using the pulse relay auto turn on thingy but using a small solid state relay or something. That should fit inside the case somewhere and jsut wire it to the power coming into the screen.

The two headrest screens I have, also have a "digital" button for power. But, unlike the Tview/Linitx screen, if you leave the screen powered, when you hit the ignition key again, it picks up where it left from. I mean, if it was powered, when you turn the ignition on, they power on by theme selves. If they were powered down, hit the ignition and they're still not powered. Maybe something like this should be done to the Tveiw/Linitx, instead of powering on on VGA signal.
