    STN = ****e! think pocket TV with a 3" screen

    TFT = good, think laptop screen etc but TFTs vary in resolution etc.

      Scouse about got it.

      There are few cases where STN is 'better'. It's cheaper, and the pixels block less light. But on all other counts, color, contrast, refresh, they're worse.

        TFT = GOOD

        STN = CRAP - only good thing is its brighter - but it looks bad,
        Looks washed out, when something moves it gets blurry hard to
        see - BAD FOR MOVIES AND VIDEO, if you use a mouse every time
        you move the mouse pointer, you lose sight of it - This is the LCD
        you have to use in HELL - JUST PLAIN NASTY

          The difference is, TFT is the one you should buy, STN is the one you shouldn't touch with a sh1tty stick.

          Clear enough?

                  Not really, I think you'll find everyone else ( except me ) added detail to what you said, brightness, slow pixel refresh et al. I was just bluntifying it

                  (edited to add, just noticed your post count, and indeed what a dirty stinking whore you really are! )
