Well it looks like he is lying in his auction as he quote the upgraded CCFL but he has the blue buttons. It could be an upgraded screen or a new case but i suspect it is the old version.

Actually I didnt notice that, however the thing that interested me is the DIN mount he made that basically costs less than 2 quid.

This is the sort of idea of been playing with but with a printer plug on the end of the block so its more like a pull-out deck. Power and everything in one connection.

yeah someone did what 66miles99 said... I think they did it in sort of some FDD connector. Neat stuff. Used the fatter headphone jacks (not the ones for ipods and crap, but rather the ones you'll find on a home theater receiver) for structural support.

That is scary. Is the tape strong enough to support the entire screen, or it is secured to the Dash in another place as well.

its got another metal plate under the tape, and it pushes all the way in, don't worry I've already ****ed one lcd up and I'm pretty careful with this one.... it's solid, if I put pressure on it it feels like the lcd's plastic housing would break before the tape lol

i like the audio jack idea... and since mine is only a composite screen I could run power through one and video through another, how many did he use to hold it?
                          got a link?

I was going to say that would be perfect using a tape adapter. Thenw hen you put the tape adapter in to mount the screen it will also make the sound come out of the stereo.
