  • Extending the video on Lilliput 10PIN

I guess have one of the "newer" Lilliput 7" screens. I need to run a new video cable about 15 feet to the back of my car, the problem is, how do I do that? I see a 9 pin "bus mouse" extension, but how can I extend the 10 pin version? Do I just get a VGA extension? Thats going to leave a HUGE knot that I will have to tuck in somewhere...

Looking for help! Thanks in advance!

First, determine which cable/connector is for "video". You may have to , or just figure it out.

Then, get an appropriate extension cable?

Exactly what do you think is so complicated?

I love this forum, so many nice, helpful people...

Why can't people just amswer a question posted to this forum. I've been helping people on The Green Button forum for years, and even if a question has been asked beforem people will just add the link to the reply, then NICELY, remind people to search. Most people here seem to have very poor attitudes to helping people..

So, Michael, where in the manual does it tell be about a 10 pin extension cable, Im looking at it right now..and nope, not there..hmm, nope not on that page, hmm..can't seem to find it...

Its a simple question, is there a 10 pin cable, like the 9 pin cable one can use to extend the video on this particular touch screen! Sheesh, is it that hard to help...

Ahemm, Sipneat, your first post is confusing. What do you mean by "Video" ? Are you talking about an external composite input, a vga input, or just extend ALL the wires ?

          Michael, sympa la signature

what is the problem? does it look like the top cable?

get a vga extension cable and get a usb extension cable. problem solved. as far as the "knot" is concerned, i'm sure you're more than capable of figuring this out on your own.

Yeah that's what I did... I used to have the old 9-pin screen and got a new one with the 10-pin connector, and I racked my brain for a couple of days trying to figure out how to extend it, then I figured "duh" and got a VGA and a USB extension cables and called it a day...

It kinda sucks because you have the big VGA connector sex thing going on that you have to hide somewhere (where the cables meet), and you have 2 cables rather than the single 10-pin one, but if it works...

Okay, all I needed to know was answered by viguera. THANK YOU!! Basically there is no 10 pin extension cable, Ill just use a VGA extenstion, no biggy.

I guess I was wierd to ask if there is a 10 pin verison of the 9 pin cable that is sold on this site...

                Thanks for the replies..
