  • Does window tint really make a difference?

Okai ive searched and searched but all i could find were threads of people posting cars with their really dark tints.

What i want to know is, will tinting my windows make a difference to the visibility of my xenarc in the day?

Who here has installed tints on their car after their LCD screen so they could post up a comparison of the difference before and after the tints?

I just want to know if its worth spending my money on tinting hoping it will improve visibility.

    Thanks.

not much, you have to get like 5% to notice a huge difference. I have 20% and it helps a bit. The main annoyance for me though is comming from the windsheild, if I had a hood i think things would be better

20% at night time is almost impossible to see through right?
Also you said it helps a bit, how much is a bit?
During the day when the sun is out for me my screen is totaly washed out and sometimes you cant see it at all when the sun is hitting right on it.

I noticed a big improvement after having the front 2 done (the rest were already done). I also limo tinted the moonroof which helped. Only paid $70 so it was well worth it.

Not sure about the %, I told them to match the factory tint on the other windows. I left the windshield untinted. Now there are only a few rare situations when the screen is washed out.

Also, my screen is low on the dash, that may help as well.

no, at night you can almost see right through a lot of tint. It depends on the lighting scenario, but if i have my dome light on, it looks like i dont have tint at all. It does not effect driving.

at an arbitrary # i'd say it helped 30%
