    I just recieved my planar screen Im excited 8.4" with touchscreen and its 1500 nits will post a pic soon.

    On the back they have five different inverters running at the same time all driving ccfl tubes no wonder its so bright post pics later tonight

    JD I have two 19" Planar's on my desk at work and they are great monitors. I am anixious to get your feedback and more details once you have played with your 8" model.

      Dude I love it the screen is awesome in every way its so clear with the touchscreen honestly i think it was worth every penny and for those who are wondering this panel is the high bright model thats a total of 1500 nits can do 800x600 and 1024x768 which is awesome the dvd playback quality is amazing

        where'd you get it from and how much? I was going to put my Planar 20" in my car on the passenger side, but still working on the carputer before I do the screen installs

                    last time I got a price for the 8" non touch 1000nit screen from planar it was $3000 but that was around a year ago and directly from them. I can only imagine what a touch version would be.

                      The retail on the Planar LC08 8.4" touch screen is $1295.00. You can buy it right off of their web site. But I haven't a street price for them. Whats crazy is you can buy a 15" Planar touchscreen for $489.

                            Costco uses the Planar touchscreens for their card reader stations in the photo department. They have not been replaced for years now which is a good sign. I think they may have the brightness down on them though because they weren't much brighter than your typical xenarc.

                              errr Holy Crap. For around 500 one can buy and upgrade the backlight to be crazy bright on a lilli. I should expect that for alot less then 1127 I'd build people screens.
