  • Fiberoptic Panel Backlight

Anyone mess with these? From what I have read output can be increased with additional layers of fiberoptic cloth and more LEDs...

I just thought of a cool idea. Take these fiberoptic pads, and connect the fibers to a exterior dish/dome that takes in sunlight. That way, when the sun is out, it will make the screen super bright, exactly when you need it.

Really? I know they use stuff like this to make lighting for rooms.. But they use big dishes on the roof to get the sun.

Pretty cool stuff. I would like to make my own, so I don't need to spend 8000 dollars on their kit.
