  • Where Can I Get One Of These

    Hey All,
This is my first post but I have been lurking for a while. Does anybody know where I can get one of these or can you at least tell me the offical name for it. It is out of a TM-868 off ebay. I really goofed and hooked the power wires backwards and was greeted by a loud pop followed by smoke.

Thats the problem I dont know what it is. It came out of this screen. The closeup pic shows what was damaged when I hooked it up wrong. I will post some higher res pics tomorrow.

You are holding the lcd controller board, or sometimes called the A-D board (analog to digital).
Doubtful you will find that board for sale unless someone has the exact same monitor and cracks the lcd.
Most of those boards have fuses or diodes soldered to them to prevent serious damage in the event someone reverses polarity.
If you are handy with a DVOM, you can probe the little pill looking thingy (what my wife calls them) to see if you were protected.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but Motor City, are you the one selling an NEC touchscreen on ebay? If so, what do you want to send it to Australia
