  • to go 7" or 8" - that is the question

I believe I can get an 8" screen into my dash. I'm currently trying to decide whether I should go 7" (800x480) or 8" (640x480). The 7" is widescreen. Assuming I can and will run each screen at the above native resolutions, would there be any noticable advantage in going with the 7" due to its widescreen capabilities, or will I benefit more from the larger screen size of the 8". (Monetary cost aside.)

    Something original

I cut a nice big hole for my 8 inch. Every one and there mother has a 7 inch in there car. If youíre going for something original... Itís nicer for the gps and it also looks better in my opinion.

one thing i noticed with my lilli 8" is my viewing angle sucks. Makes the screen look darker.

I actually bought an 8" and I love the resolution and the way that it looks. Only problem is that it is too big for the double din opening height wise. I have a civic and between the air vent opening, and the AC/Heater controls, there is just no room, so I have to go with a 7" even though I don't know if I want to. Ordered my new 7" today.

I had a 7 that fit almost perfectly and I ended up with an 8.4" after a long story and I really like the size and res of it as well as its not any where near as reflective as that 7" was.
