  • Good (but inexpensive) VGA LCDs.. Where?

    Any one have some suggestions?
I've got a new car, but this one doesn't have a carputer. Definately a situation to be rectified. Sell me a DWW-700M!

Can't go wrong with the Datalux touchscreens man, especially if you've got dash real estate. I paid $285 for my 10.4 and it does 640x480 at 16 bit color. Love it.

They were selling used Datalux's on ebay a short time ago... prices ranged from $240-310.

Most are 200 nits. The 500 nits models are much more expensive.

200 nits isn't bad! i'll have to see how I like my CTX 10.4" touchscreen when I get it this weekend. these sound like pretty good monitors!

Ebay is the only place. Buying directly from datalux will cost you around $1400 per screen.

I think it is the brightness or clarity of the screen. the more there are the better the screen is?

nits is brightness. more is brighter (better). you could look this up with a search pretty easily.
