  • 2 Din Touch Screen options

Hi All, I have done some searches and all i have been able to find that is supported & 2 din fitting is the G4 which is unavailable. Are there any other complete systems that compare or Touch Screens that will fit a straight 2 din location? I have a Nissan Silvia 2001 and there is limited space to fit anything larger than 18cm wide x 10cm high.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards Pikie

The G4 is available in some places...and it does fit nicely in a 2 din!

        digitalww.com sells the DWW7000PC for $1499. its a double-DIN all-in-one carPC.

I would email first before buying, there are many posts on this forum about waiting a long time to receive products from that site. good luck

From what i've heard i'd steer clear of DigitalWW, it seems the main guy Armen, is quite hard to get ahold of and long time doesn't really describe it seeing from what i've read people will wait up to two months + on the products. Ebay is always a good bet though.

i've these around for a long time, the mp3car.com store sells them also, will they fit any generic double din hole? I've got an 04 malibu classic and have been looking for a good solution, and this would be good if i knew if it fit.

7" (and some 8") screens fit a double din opening with a little modification in the back. If you can accept that you might have to visit a junkyard to find an original dash when you sell the car, then things get easier. I have a 7" Xenarc in my Maxima. Looks factory to the untrained eye.

Wow a lot of response! Thanks all. My car has some limitations regarding bigger than two din. Because the radio second is built out there is less than 5mill of useable space behind the plastic edge on the sides and the top. The base of the standard hole is filled with the climate control. All the 7’inch style touch screens that is have seen wont fit as the sounds are to big to fit the space.

Does anyone no if the Alpine prototyping on this site is getting any closer to working model?

i have had a more detailed look at the screen case mods to make the LILLIPUT 7" 619GL-70NP/C fit a 2 din style fitting.

is it possible to do the same easly to a Lilliput 7" EBY701?

                    Crooper,

I also have a Maxima and I am about to setup the screen in the dash... could you show some high resolution pictures of your in-dash screen setup so that I can see the result of you installation?

                    Thanks!
