  • 6v dc needed for belkin usb hub

I have acquired a Belkin 7 port usb hub and noticed the input needs to be 6v dc.

    How is this best achieved?

Could I use 5 1.2v batteries and if so how long might they last powering bluetooth dongle, webcam, gps receiver, microphone and occasionally keyboard.

Are there any other ways of powering it?

    Cheers in advance

    Are you sure it's 6V? Not 5?
It probably CAN run off 5V, in which case, power it off your mainboard PSU...
Any red and black wire'll do!

Thanks for that. It does say 6v dc but will try the 5v.
