This is a loaded question. I would pick the non-faulty, great working intel. Driving down the road when a glitch occurs really stinks. The M2-ATX PSU has tolerance for mobile use like protection when the car cranks. It also has options for shutdown modes. I for one don't like waiting the 51 seconds it takes to get Streetdeck ready for use. When I am out and about running errands the CarPC stays awake for 30 minutes at a time while I'm in the store. The laptop w/o batteries wouldn't be able to do this.

The laptop also has limited capabilities in terms of USB ports and 5.1 sound. These are more preference items but still, I need them.

A laptop would be easier to bring inside for maintenance but with my remote start option with remote desktop my CarPC is easy to work on when I'm in my home... Software only of course.

Anyway, I hope this helps a little.

      thanks for your opinions,

sorry i forgot to tell that i have liliput 629 7 inch, so i will not use the faulty screens of laptops.

also i will buy a new battery if i decide on laptop, today i found that they are about 70$.

could we setup m2-atx so that computer go to the standby mode?
      standby is faster than hibernation,

could we setup it so that it goes to standby for 30 minutes, then goes to hibernation?

i want to know your opinions about the prices and the systems which one is worth buying

Here is the link to the PSU manual.

There are 8 different settings. You have to decide which one works for you. You should also read the sections about battery drain and cold start. Standby and hibernation are more of an OS feature, no?

It looks like you will spend more on the laptop with battery than the new intel. I would go with the intel given that it is new and most newer OS's are supported. You'll be able to find more updated drivers too I would suspect.

I'm not sure what you budget looks like but I have enough to buy the best possible solution. I wouldn't be very happy if I bought a $200 broken laptop just to find out that for $100 more I could have had a great UMPC.

i have read booting problems for intel, thats why i am more laptop side.
as i read zotac mainboards are good choice but it is hard to find it here(turkey),
i search ebay but most of them do not post international.
laptop will be easy but it is best to have zotac i think.
