  • A question about car computer video output

    Hi All

I am very new to car computers and am looking to install one into my SUV. The question I have is regarding video output. I have an RGB nav screen in my SUV and a roof mounted flip down DVD player. The DVD player accepts external composite signals, so that you can use it as an output monitor. My VIA motherboard has VGA and composite video out. I know that I will need to use a converter to get the VGA signal to show on the RGB screen but I want to know if I would be able to get output to my roof mounted DVD screen, from the composite video out as well. If so, would it be the same image on both screens, or could I have "dual screens", that could have different displays on them (i.e. could I show movies on the DVD screen and sat-nav on the RGB screen)? If not, what would be the best way to achieve this? I am thinking of using centrafuse, if this makes a difference.

    Appreciate any information given.
