  • Basic switch question

Like a chump I threw money at this 12V stainless steel lock switch from mp3car. It didn't come with any instructions and although I am fairly sure how to wire it, I want some clarification.

    See the picture:

I just want to know what prongs to attach my ignition wire to and how to wire the blue/purple LED wires

Hi, in the picture above I can see what looks like markings for NC and NO (normally closed, normally open) if so, you would use the NO contact set. The LED is 12v and IMHO, blue would go to ground and purple would go to the PSU side of the switch to indicate switch closure, otherwise run it from+12 out from the PSU to show that the PSU is actually ON.
Palm sized ainol MiniPC, 8" Transreflective PRO, Win10, Reverse camera, Dual 10HZ GPS RX's for Speed Display & Sat Nav, FM-DAB & Phone Modules, iDrive interface. T-Screen HVAC control, custom microcontrollers, microcode and FE.

Thanks for the reply, I figured it was the NO connection for the ignition wire.

I do have a 12V line coming out of the PSU which i can use.

hey and just out of interest having scanned over your signature, did your 8" screen come as transflective or did you add this yourself?
