  • Intel NUC in Ford F250?

i am wondering if i can get a Intel NUC to work as a car pc that i also can take in my house as a home PC. maybe a low power to power it and use a aux in on my car stereo for sound? do u think that would work well?

I think it would work great. I would avoid the Thunderbolt version, because of lack of supported devices. Use a smart DC to DC power supply like on this forum's storefront to power it while in the car, and you will need a USB soundcard or USB DAC (better sound) to get audio line out.

so there is a power supply that will power a nuc?

are u refering to something like the CarNetix CNX-P2140 185W Dual Output Intelligent DC-DC Regulator?

im looking at a Intel® NUC Kit D54250WYK

I would pick this one: Intellegent DC-DC Converter

It can be set to output 19V by jumper setting, and can be set to power up your PC automatically, and shut down gracefully when you turn off the key.
