Is there any info compiled of Proven complete car pc systems.?

Instead of me asking what components I need. Have a proven list of different systems..

Or is the Show off your project to closest I'll find?

Welcome to the forum! There really is no list, maybe look at the show off your project or worklogs of peeps. Also look on the mp3car store for hardware idea's. My personal recommendation's on a system would be the gigabyte z77n-wifi mini-itx, maybe a i5-2600, 4gig ram, SSD, 7" liliput high brightness 450nit 5 wire touch, scantool mx for obd2, Visteon/Directed HD radio with mitch's cable, Globalstat bu353-s4 gps dongle, dsatx for power supply, Ram Mount 6port hub if a hub is needed. XMD-1000 for XM radio, Co-pilot live for gps software. Driveline for a front-end to make it all work! Good luck and just my 2 cents SNO

Well that's my bench test box but with i7-3770, In my truck I am still running jetway NF-93 mainboard q9100 quadcore mobile cpu with all the other hardware plus TPMS and Parking distance sensors front and back. Driveline is a frontend like riderunner, centrafuse, freeice, ect. gives a user interface for using in an automobile enviroment. SNO

          Impressive..

I've come to realize I don't need all the whistles and bells on road if I prepare before hand with media. I could get by with my galaxy tablet 2 or laptop tethered to my iphone.
My problem is that the standard mini stereo plug isn't exactly like the apple three-way 3.5mm jack headphone jack. Sounds like crap pushed all the way in, like a channel was missing. If I pull the plug out a touch it sounds better but not secure.
