  • What does the " TFT" next to the screen size mean?

I was just wondering, I have Mac G3 laptop, and the Screen Size is 14.1 TFT, Does anyone know what the TFT stands for??? I was just wondering since I might use this screen in my truck...

    Thin Film Transistor
It means each individual pixel has a transistor to control it. Displays that are not TFT tend to look washed out, TFT's are sharp and have high contrast.
