What is the best software available for a gps system running off a carputer? How does it compare to gps that comes built in? Is there any software that has the features of built-in like that it talks and you can talk back. How about looking up addresses from the phone number some cars do that too.

I like Routis 2004 a lot. It talks to you, does dynamic re-route etc. And it is only $95. Upgrades are very cheap also $9.95.

Have you got a pre-release version? If not how do you know it'll be the best when it comes out?

Too much software looks like it should be very good, but on release proves to be dissappointing and lacking.

How does InfoMap UK/Europe fair as GPS software?

I wan't something that won't break the bank.

Destinator 3.0 (BTW, it's already out for purchasing) does have the ability to "speak out" the directions in different languages and there is a European (Western) set of maps as well. I will get it, specially because it can receive real-time traffic updates.
