  • Hi - UK newbie!

    Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum - I live in a town called Bexhill in the south-east of England (near Hastings -> 1066?) and drive a heavily modified 1990 Ford Fiesta RS Turbo which (when engine swap is finished) will be pushing out around 240bhp or so.

I'm about to embark on my first business venture on incarPC and satnav installation and am about to start on the install using my car as the demo vehicle.

You can see alot more of my pictures on www.fiestaturbo.com

    Cheers,

    Andy

240BHP in a FWD fiesta? what are you gonna do about torque steer? start building up those arms in the gym!!
you using one of the yanks 1.9 CVH blocks??

my 480 can take a standard fiesta turbo but i wouldnt like to take on yours!!you need to get a RWD though, ive got a mk2 escort as well and although not hugely powerfull the RWD is magic fun, especially in the wet!!!

I've got a Quaife ATB (active torque biasing) diff to help with torque steer, although it can add it when on rougher roads (same one as used in the Focus RS). Should give huge grip on launching and round corners though!

Yeah - it's using a stage 2 rebuilt (low comp) 1800cc bored out American tall block.

A friend of mine used to drive a 480 turbo, I have seen how fast they are!

Would love to make it 4wd eventually - but am going to stick for fwd for the meantime.

Hopefully I'll be buying my sister's Focus ST170 off of her later this year.

            Cheers,

            Andy
