small keyboard for data input, besides that looks like you got it covered. and yes your motherboard will be fine with out a metal case. i used a rubbermaid cup cake holder. so much easier to manipulate.

there are 2 ways to go either wireless RF keyboard or small folding usb one. i use rf however i think i might buy a folding usb one, just for size and you don't use it alot.

rf keyboard works great. thats just it, with rf (radio frequency) keyboard you don't need to extend an eye because you dont actually have to "see" the receiver. ir (infra red) on the other hand you do.

where do you have your sensor mounted, and what kinda range does this thing get, if i could just run a "traveling" keyboard ~20$ usb, but tiny enuf to go in my glove box, which'd you do?
My computer will be under my armrest less than 10 ft from the glovebox

my sensor is behind the seat of my truck. i can go about 15 feet from the truck and still type. useless but i can. i would go with the small usb one. that way you could just pull it out when you need it. don't get one of those roll up ones though. you have to have something hard to put them on.

ATI Remote Wonder RF remotes are pretty dope, too. The receiver is USB, and you can operate the computer from anywhere 20'-30' outside the vehicle. Great for changing songs and volume if you're just hangin' outside the car. It's perfect for me because I can use it in the back, front, or outside the van without pointing it at anything. Screw IR... SO passe. :P
